An Introduction To The Amazon Kindle Fire Kids Edition
Everyone all around the world should be familiar with Amazon and their tablets. The Kindle Fire HD7 Kids Edition is a Kindle Fire, which is specially designed for children. All aspects of the tablet caters to children, including the exterior design and the interior hardware and software. Right away, you’ll see that the tablet itself is protected, by a very soft and absorbent case. This perfectly encapsulates the tablet and keeps it safe from many drops and falls! Trust me, my daughter has dropped ours nearly a hundred times and the case definitely helps!
Best Kindle Fire HD For Kids – The Warranty
Although there are many excellent aspects of the Kindle Fire for Children, the 2-year worry-free guarantee is undoubtedly my favorite! I absolutely love the fact that my purchase is protected, by Amazon, for 2 years! Anyone, who has ever had to deal with Amazon’s customer support, should understand that their support is among the best.
If your child drops their tablet and it breaks, you can have it replaced, without answering questions. Although I haven’t had to go through this process myself, it is nice and ensures my peace of mind.
Amazone Kindle Parental Controls
Although many people do not realize it, the Kindle for Kids is actually more than that! It is very versatile and can be used by children and adults alike. I must confess that I use my daughter’s occasionally to watch Netflix. So, how does it work? Well, it is possible to setup numerous profiles. Your child can have a profile, which allows them to access the apps and features that you specify. And, you can have your own profile, which gives you full access to the tablet’s features and the Internet.
Amazon Kinde Fire FreeTime
If you wish to restrict your child’s activities even further, you will want to utilize the FreeTime application. Although this software takes a little getting used to, it offers many controls, which were previously unavailable. For instance, you can force your child to read e-books for 30 minutes, before the tablet will unlock their games.

Where To Buy A Kindle
When attempting to purchase a Kindle, you should know that these devices are practically only available from Amazon. To my knowledge and understanding, I don’t think they’re available anywhere else, unless you want to shop on eBay, which might not be worth the effort and concern. Either way, purchasing directly from Amazon is your best bet and will help to ensure that you receive the warranty and such!
Some Slight Concerns
Although I absolutely love the Fire HD Kids Edition, I do have a few concerns. 8GB of data would be great, if the device actually came with 8GB of data, but it does not. 4.5GB is a little restricting and Amazon shouldn’t label it an 8GB tablet, when it is not! Suffice to say, the 16GB option is much more reliable!
Also, a lot of individuals have experienced problems with the FreeTime software. Many have told me that the Tablet would be better, without this feature.
At the end of the day, the Fire HD 7 Kids Edition is very awesome is many regards. The display is beautiful and the device has all of the features of many of the adult tablets. It is surprisingly affordable and the 2-year worry-free guarantee is most certainly the most impressive aspect of all!
Even with the small negatives, the guarantee makes the tablet well worth the price! I love it and it certainly keeps my daughter entertained! Thus far, the parental controls have been wonderful and very effective! I recommend it tremendously!
